Training events and attendance

Creating and editing training events, who can do it, and how attendance works.

Go to Events > All Events or My Events. A training event is a scheduled activity with a date/time, location, delivery method, calendar, the requirements it fulfills, instructors, and students.

Who can create/edit: anyone who can manage training (Training: Manage, or an Administrator), users with access to the event's calendar, or users with agency access. If you don't see the option, your role likely doesn't include training management β€” ask an administrator. Locked events can't be edited until an administrator unlocks them.

Attendance uses Attendee records with Student/Instructor roles and present/absent values. If an event requires student verification, students mark themselves. Instructors (or anyone who can verify attendance) mark student attendance β€” present can create/approve fulfillments, absent can unapprove them.

Creating an event: Go to Events > New Event, enter day/time/location and details, choose the Requirements it fulfills, and add Instructors and invited groups/staff. Attendance options: verify now or later; let attendees log in and mark themselves present; and require a second-level supervisor to verify.

Locking an event: use Verify Attendance, then check Finalize Attendance & Lock Record β€” this drops anyone not marked present/absent and prevents further changes. Only an administrator can reopen it.

Company Event: for training that already happened and isn't on the calendar, use New Company Event from the Home page.
